Weather Info Staff

Welcome to Dustari, a wild pony RPG.

This RPG is rated PG-13. It is intermediate in level, so posts must be between 100 - 500 words in length.

Snazzy!
Dustari is now in it's second year! Don't forget to age all your horses accordingly.

Spring
The weather has been mild, though a little on the chillier side. Sunshine has melted most of the snow from winter, and small buds begin to appear on the ground as earth rises from a sleep. As the season goes on, rain storms will pop up every now and then, and the days will grow warmer.

Kalondice

I just wanna B R E A K you down so badly.

>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<

>>So, there's a whisper on the wind of a land inhabited only by mares. What a change from the natural way of life. But of course, nobody thinks mares can rule, correct? Mares are fragile, delicate, meant to live beneath the male. How dare they convict us of such a hellenistic torture? How dare they? Who do they think they are? To heir is human, to rule invincibly, divine. Forget those bastards. Forget their arrogance and beseeching pride. Damn them. Damn them all to hell! Their time has ended, the century of the female has arisen. I wonder, who will follow? Who will have the courage to believe as I do? Who will break all boundaries? Who will exceed all expectations?

>>I've heard a few rumors of this one mare, Kalulah. They say she's strong. She's determined. I hope their right. For I have a plan, this plan needs cunning, discipline, and intelligence. It must have a stronghold of followers, a disciplinary crew of the most cunning and intellectually profound beings. Starting with Kalulah. I wonder, how many this mare has within her lands. I wonder, if she's been poisoned by the opposite sex. I will take only the pure who have not been destroyed by love. Only those who will remain faithful to the plan, and the plan alone. They are not to worship me, we are to be equal, a mesmerizing legion. Why? Because I dare to be different, this legion will be no different.

>>So hear me now, now is our time. I say, join or die. With haste and agility I floated gracefully into Reine, home of the one I sought. With piercing eye and distinct purpose in my gait, I trotted into the lands midst. With my curvature held aloft and regally held, I released a brief but proposing song for Reine's Queen. Colorless socked appendages halted and were squared beneath me, with genetics on my side I knew I stood out even in the sheer beauty of the land. I wondered if it's inhabitants could propose a challenge, or if it would fall in misery and defeat. Is this a war? With I as it's leader, there can be nothing but.

>>I'm gonna make damn sure that I break them down so badly.

She was wandering. Prowling her lands, thinking, plotting, and trying to keep herself from going crazy. The boredom was becoming almost unbearable, and her patience was being tried. She had been willing to wait, bide her time, and it had payed off in terms of gaining leadership of this majestic spot of land. But what next? She wanted more, simply reigning over a secluded piece of earth that held no equine inhabitants was not her idea of fun. She needed more than that, she needed subjects, ultimate power, leadership. They said she wasn't smart enough, strong enough, good enough. Well, they were going to be proved wrong, now weren't they? She had high expectations and ambitions, neither of which she had any desire of lowering. In her mind, she was better equipped than all those dim-witted brutes out there that called themselves "king". Oh, she was more than they ever took her for.

Sweltering sun beat down with relentless force, creating small heat waves to flicker over the long emerald blades. A few translucent clouds drifted across the otherwise blank sky, providing no relief from the orange rays. Sweat had begun to form a sheen over the bella's blue roan canvas, raven locks hanging limply from her nape. But she was lost in thought, caring not for the humidity and temperature that weighed heavy on the air. She had other things to think about then her own comfort. All that changed, though, when a lone call sliced through the atmosphere, reaching her lobes and causing them to flicker intently. Someone dared enter her land and so blatantly make their presence known? Whoever it was had guts, that's for sure.

Brows were furrowed together in a look of extreme concentration, pausing for a few moments to gain her bearings before marching steadily onward in the direction from which the song had come. Slender figurine glided easily over the ground, long strides covering the distance with natural ease. She wasn't heavily built, rather, possessing a slim figure for that of a pony. But it's what lay beneath the surface that really mattered. Muscles toned to perfection, endurance to challenge the sturdiest of horses, and a mind capable of much more than some thought. Tiara was thrust into her signature pose, held aloft with serpentine arched the tiniest of bits. She was regal, poised, and exuding confidence, ready to meet whoever faced her.

Intense gaze swept carefully along the surrounding terrain, settling with a satisfied gleam upon her victim. Pace didn't change, still holding its easy stride as she was in no hurry to approach this equine. It didn't seem to be budging anyway. The distance between the two rapidly melted beneath her weathered hooves, only slowing when she had come within a few feet of the mare. Oh yes, it was a mare. And one that actually looked like she could hold her own. Kalulah knew her kind, the powerful, driven, kind quite well. And this one was a rare find. Intrigued, she was careful not to let it show, placing one of her many masks upon her features. Emotionless and impassive she surveyed the other donna in stony silence, finally inhaling a deep breath for words. I am Kalulah, leader of the lands you chose to trespass upon. Alto tones were handed out in careful measures, betraying nothing and offering nothing but their raw meaning. What is your intent with this intrusion? While it may be placed with a question mark at the end, it's underlying tone was one of order, leaving no room for anything but submission to her request.

Kalondice

I just wanna B R E A K you down so badly.

>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<

>>Under the veil of dusk we go on, through the silence of the red dawn we prevail. Through the agony of our darkest hour, if I held my ground would you ask me to change? Liar, it takes one to know one. I'm an addict for dramatics. I'm intrusive and arrogant. The earth is plagued with our mistakes. This drought bleeds on but we're dancing for rain. But no matter how you try, someone will make damn sure they break you down so badly, in the worst way. They'll hollow out your hungry eyes, they'll bring you too close, you'll trip over everything they say, then, all at once...you're gone, and it's too late.

>>But I won't let you get too far from me. Names, they always mean more than they appear. Kalondice: beautiful victory. It is that we will achieve. My hands are soaking in the blood of angels, all those lost halos will wash away. With broken wings those ghosts will walk, singing songs and carrying signs. To them, these streets belong. A strong figure, built such as mine. With dark eyes I followed her form, studying her movement, analyzing her every expression. She showed none, quite like myself. My star was cold, hard, and driven. My stance was rigid, but surpassed the rank of arrogance. I acknowledged her rank with a curt nod of my head, eyes never fazing. All that moved along my body was the billowing of my mane and tail from the strong, yet bitter wind that tainted the whole land.

>>She was as I had expected. Powerful in presence, determined, and without error. Friendliness was not in my mind, nor was it given in my voice. However, like she, I stated my reasons, simply. Except, unlike her, I left room for thought, for ideas. "I am Kalondice. Kalon will do." At this, I lifted my maw slightly, perhaps an arrogant gesture in the hands of others, but I doubted Kalulah would mind. Honestly, when I get around to thinking about, is it really going to matter? "My intent draws unto you, for it relates only to one who understands and accepts my motives." If she knew my motives simply by studying me, as I knew she had, she would allow me to explain further in detail.

>>I have no patience for the unintelligent. Her side, is her choice.

First impressions are always important, right? From the start you can judge and calculate just what a body is made of, what certain traits they might carry, and their attitude in general. Of course, some would say you can't judge a book by it's cover, you can't really hate or like a person until you've has a chance to get to know them. But in truth, if on first meeting a person presents himself as arrogant, self-conceited, and indifferent, wouldn't it be fair to say that he might just be that type of person? That he isn't just acting like that for the heck of it? Sure, some people tend to waver in their attitudes and tendencies, but no matter how much we try, we'll always be the same person. So in truth, first impressions really can matter, and really are that big of a deal.

After speaking, she continued to observe the donna in stony silence, taking an interest at their likeness in persona. Like to wrestlers waiting for the other to make the first move, they stood, both gaging the others reactions and intents. It intrigued the blue roan bella, to find one who so closely mirrored her own objectives and attitudes. This just might be her cure for the boredom and restless that had recently plagued her mind. She noted every gesture, every incline of the head, every brow raise and every emotion. Or lack of emotion, you could say. It appeared she had met her match in disguising what went on beneath the surface, though not to be haughty, Kalulah did think she could accomplish it to perfection.

Aloof tiara returned the curt nod, brow lifting the tiniest bit as the mare went on with the formalities. Seems we have already migrated to shortening the names, hm? Or perhaps she just preferred to be called Kalon. As for Kalulah, it was always her full name, nothing more nothing less. Few had tried, and even less had succeeded. Lobes pricked lazily atop her raven adorned cranium, curious about her next string of lyrics, but too proud to show her immediate interest. She spoke of motives, which, taking into account all that the regal contessa had observed, she had high ones at that. Kal couldn't help the hungry gleam from entering her fathomless rosy brown visions, and she didn't mind. The two seemed to think alike, at least so she thought. I believe we might share an understanding. A hint of a smirk flickered over her velvets, crown listing gently to the side. Please, continue. Alto melodies once again expressed her intent, still disguising any emotion save for the ruthless curiosity that this newcomer had suddenly peaked.

>>What's in a name? That which we may call a rose may smell as sweet? I am distantly aware that my blunt relation of my more common alias was thus already shared with her, but it is within my belief to say that it gives a sense of comfort and sensitivity, henceforth meaning, the relationship Kalulah and I would share should she choose to accept my proposal, would be sincerely more intimate than I share with the rest of this world. To them, I am and forever will be Kalondice. Kalondice is a strong name, a fighting name, a name for a victor. However, with a name such as Kalon, it relinquishes the hold of femininity and shows a more masculine side. Those that will hear the name of Kalon and fear it, will know it only as a name. They will not know whom owns such a name, they will not know the gender of it's benefactress. It will be a name, but a name of a divine soul.

>>I consider it to be not an adversary but an ally, to hold your greatest enemy close. Should I not have sought Kalulah, but pursued this escapade alone, she most certainly would have put a challenge against my ploy. I have no doubt within my mind. Hence, listen. I trust no one, not even myself. For even I may be plagued by the darkness of a thing called love, even I can be destroyed by the desire for power. With hazed vision and a broken intellect, I fear only the worst. I would ask of her, should I know her more clearly, that should I ever turn into such a vial creature, that she end my misery. Without hesitation, and without argument. As they say, trust no one, love nothing, and fear everything.

>>So here me out, Kalulah, this is where it all begins, and where everything else will end. I heard her, my adorned ears whisking forth to listen to her voice, intent, and all meaningful. I was intrigued, she was as well. I did not deny her her pride and therefore contented myself to not acknowledging what I knew from her ever so slight signal her interest of my intent. For I had it to. I wished for her answer, but first things first. Soft smirk crossed my face, eyes alive and dancing with a kindling flame. "Change. Too long have I listened to the rants of "kings" and the authority of stallions. Too long have I had to endure their scandalous voices and annoying sneers. I intend to put an end to their reign, it's our time now." Although it was short, my point kindled well. I watched her eyes, I studied her reactions. Indeed I expected none, my plan would not be thwarted should her answer be negative.

>>But can one without a war single-handedly? Will I see the break of day?

What was to be the outcome of this rather sudden meeting? What did this mare have in mind, that she sought out Kalulah as her sole confidence in the matter? Oh, the donna wouldn't deny that she was rather flattered and very pleased to be let in on what seemed to be such an intriguing plan. And truthfully, this Kalon was quite wise, siding with her and not daring to go against her. Things wouldn't have turned out pretty, had that been the case. The roan female didn't go down without a fight, and even then you couldn't be sure if she really was down. So in any case, she had a feeling that whatever Kalondice was about to say, it would be much to her liking.

Change. It was a wonderful thing, so long as it was changing something for her liking. Oh, so self-absorbed and proud. Vain and conceited. There were many not so lovely words to describe her, but she cared little for the labels. She was powerful, and that's what mattered. Those things that others hate had gotten her this far, why throw them away? A low snort was issued in affirmation, lobed now straining hungrily atop her crown. Today must be her day, for those beautiful words coming from the mare's lungs were almost identical to those still hidden within Kal's. Dear Kalon, it seems as if we are cut from the same cloth. She soon followed with her own set of words, choosing them each with practiced caution and intent. And the use of the bella's nickname seemed to finalize whatever deal that might have been lurking between the lines of her speech.

Malicious grin wavered upon her labrums, another testament to the fact that she did indeed approve of what the female had proposed. And yet, skillfully she had managed to keep most other emotions from her features. Not all walls built up were meant to come down, and certainly not so early into their meeting. Of course, if they were to work together as one, a perfectly oiled machine, they would need to have some sort of trust level, but now, again, was not the time. More information was needed. Planning must be done. There was to be no rushing recklessly into this. Everything must be perfect. And just how might we go about this? Our time. It sounded like music to Kalulah's ears. Say goodbye to your fake little crowns, dear self-proclaimed kings, your end is drawing near.

KALULAH

eh. this one's not great either.

>>Say goodbye you fesicious, dirty scumbags, those crowns you wear so defiantly upon your worthless heads, will be ours soon. But all in good time, I say, all in good time. A plan of such impact must be dealt with carefully, it must be planned thoroughly, down to the last waning detail. Perhaps I'm an addict for dramatics, for this plan will only bring about the deepest, most annoying dramas the world has ever seen. There will be betrayal, there will be battles, there will be death. Sadly, I could care less. So long as in the end, I get everything I want, I'll manage with a few less enemies to deal with.

>>What I wouldn't give to see all the lives of those who'd destroyed me go up in flame. They made me this way, they carved me into this bloodthirsty demon. But now, I'm glad they did, or else I would never have had the strength to take on my biggest enemy: the world. It all started as everything else does, the world was just so unfair. Harder and harder I grew, one day, I lost it. They told me that I didn't know, and I said, I don't know? You don't know where I've been. You don't know what the hell I've been through. I've stared death in the face. I've lost everything I've ever cared about. So don't tell me that I don't know. Asshole.

>>So I see I am getting right where I want to be. 'Cut from the same cloth' oh how more perfect could it be. Together, we would be unstoppable, together, we would be invincible. A leering smirk played around my features and a lust for destruction and power flickered in my eyes. But how to go about this plan? Oh how I knew, my plan was flawless from the beginning. But first, the basics, first, there is a need for allies.
"First we must gather together the inhabitants of the Chateau Gateway and rally them as one. The more power that stands behind us, the stronger our victory, and the greater the loss of our enemies." I paused here, before beginning once again.

>>"I think it best we have an inside view into the plans of the other kingdoms. The mare, Sovereign, has already agreed to assist us. She is close with the Western King Tribune, I feel he may gain knowledge of our plans before the rest of them. She will keep an eye on him for us. Soon enough though, the word will be out of our plans, once this has happened it is necessary for us to rally together as many follower from other lands as possible. From then, the war may take its own course." I didn't entirely believe this, I felt I could control as much of the situation as possible.

>>However, the outcomes of said plans would need to be known first before my other plans could take effect. It was a cause and effect war, an impromptu battle, take it like it is, and face it with a moments notice. It's our time now.

They had said she would never amount to much. After all, she was only a mare. Only a mare, ha. Never underestimate, because those who fall under such judgments could turn out to be the ones you most fear. She had set about to prove them wrong, and against what seemed like all odds, she had slowly climbed toward her goal. Nothing was every easy in life, but she had made a way, caring little for those she trampled on the way to the top. They wouldn't have made it very far anyway. At the beginning, the echoing ridicules and cruel jibes drove her on, but as she got higher, it became clear that she was not only doing this to prove to them she was better then all, but that she wanted it. The desire had been awakened within, flamed by the cut downs from others. More than anything, she wanted the power, the control, the feelings of being on top.

As time passed, she began to see mirror images of herself reflected in the other donna, proving that they truly were striving for like objectives. It both pleased and cautioned her. So long as Kalon did not threaten her position or attempt to best her, things would work out just fine. Blue roan bella listened closely, outwardly giving a brief nod of approval here and there, occasionally letting a smirk play about her features. Inwardly, the wheels were turning, sizing up and testing the logic and planning on Kalondice. She had to hand it to her, she was most thorough in her planning. It was not an easy task, nor would it be very quick, but these things could not be rushed, and must be taken slowly and with the upmost efficiency.

She had finished her speech, and Kalulah let the silence hang between them as she weighed her options. Surely, two could accomplish so much more than one, and judging by the facts that they both yearned for the same things, uniting seemed the best way to go. But how would things unfold as they neared their goal? Would they continue to reign in harmony, or would one craftily slide the blade between the ribs as the prize was won? It was something to consider, but the girl had no doubts in her own cunning and sharp mind. If things came down to that, she would most certainly be able to hold her own. So then the question became, would she be willing to risk it?

Slender limbs shifted once again, easing into a more comfortable position before releasing her verdict. It seems as if this has all been carefully planned out. It was not a question, rather, a statement needing no reply. The facts were plain to see. When do we begin? One more question for the mare. She knew the task at hand would not be an easy one, but she was more than ready to "get her hands dirty", so to speak. It had taken long enough for this time to come, and she wished not to waste more time then necessary idly standing by.

>>Of course it's all been planned out! Who the hell do you think I am? What, was I going to throw something of this extraordinary capacity together in 5 minutes? Hardly! I've spent years plotting, scheming, and whatever the hell else I can do to comply such a brilliant and bloodthirsty plan. Needless to say, I was disappointed by Kalulah's comment. At first, I had taken the impression that she kept most to herself. Like I, now that I think about it. Nevertheless, I was almost ashamed by it, would she really make such an obvious comment? A filler comment, in truth, like she knew not what else to say. Was I making a mistake by allying her? Did I honestly believe that?

>>Let me get a little more personal here, for just a moment, bare with me. You have no idea what it took me to persuade myself to allow another into the brilliance of my epic scheme. Why? Because that would mean I had to share the glory. The fame. Oh how I loathed the idea. Sharing, what a putrid, sickening word. Believe me, by the many mares I've spoken with, casually of course, it was sad what we were going to have to rally together. Unfortunately, as my search continued, I caught wind of Kalulah. From the start, I knew not of her queenship, yet as I suddenly knew, it was almost enraging. Not only did I have to share the glory and the fame once we won, our battle would not yet be over.

>>Truthfully, I knew I would have a battle on my hands. But then again, part of this plan she would never know. That is, not until it was upon her. Then again, maybe it would not be so hard to accomplish after all. My smirk broadened. I have no doubt she would think it was due to her final answer, but indeed it was for I became suddenly aware I had gained her trust. Too quickly, too easily. She had lowered her guard under my presence. How perfect... Thoroughly pleased with my plan's process, I gave a light toss of my head, relinquishing my gaze of my ridiculously long forelock, only to bring it back down. This time with eyes darker than liquid asphalt.

>>"We start now. I prefer to work alone, so I will travel to the land of Beliy and begin there. I imagine you will want to start with Reine." Like she, it was not spoken in a question. Why should it be? Being queen, she ought to consider her land first, but then again, how should I know? After all, I am only queen in my own mind. But that's all about to change...
